Emblematic of Chaumet's repertoire since the Maison's first ever creation for Empress Joséphine, the Déferlante tiara is an authentic work of jewellery sculpture. It took 1,600 brilliant-cut and step-cut diamonds to create this unique setting, capturing the energy of water with unparalleled virtuosity. As if defying gravity, the stones appear as though they are floating, which is achieved thanks to the fil-couteau technique. With the Déferlante High Jewellery capsule collection, Chaumet writes a spectacular new chapter in honouring nature in movement. A true ode to life, the craftsmen at the 12 Vendôme workshop have succeeded in capturing crashing waves in full motion through fascinatingly realistic light effects. Blending both tradition and modernity, this capsule – made entirely of white gold and diamonds – offers combinations of cuts, virtuoso settings and daring angles, to merge the elegance of Chaumet’s creations with their bold character.; Material 18-carat white gold Paving 1564 brilliant-cut EF VVS diamonds for 35.72 carats 19 baguette-cut EF VVS diamonds for 7.49 carats 8 square-cut EF VVS diamonds for 3.25 carats 7 princess-cut EF VVS diamonds for 2.83 carats Center Stone 3 princess-cut F VVS1 diamonds of 1.02 carats each 2 square-cut F VVS1 diamonds of 0.71 and 0.70 carat 1 brilliant-cut F VVS1 diamond of 0.34 carat Stone Quality Color D-E-F, clarity from IF to VS, cut "excellent" or "very good", fluorescence "none" or "faint" Stone Origin Conform to the Kimberley process More details Height: 6.2 cm; White gold, diamonds
